Safety mechanisms in the seats are customizable to provide the proper dampening and load capabilities for any size passenger, from preschoolers to adults. And the new seat is flexible enough to be used in all types of passenger vehicles - not just school buses.

The child-proof safety mechanism holds the seat securely in place unless there is a frontal impact, at which time the Tilt-Lock mechanism engages and allows the seat to flex forward up to 15°, protecting and lessening injury to the passengers in the seat and passengers behind the seat, even if those occupants are not belted.

In a minor impact, when the seat does not flex the full 15°, it can be easily reset to its original position with a special tamper-proof key. So the seat doesn't have to be replaced, saving money and keeping buses on the road instead of in the shop.

Standard Options to Fit Your Needs

Our Tilt-Lock Safety Seats are offered in three standard sizes: 30", 39",and 45". The smaller size accommodates two passengers. The larger sizes can comfortably hold three riders. All positions have adjustable seatbelts.

The seats can be attached easily to the right or left side of the vehicle. On the larger seat, the center seatbelt can adjust to either a left or right side installation using pre-mounted attachment points.

The seatbelts are height-adjustable to accommodate any size passenger. And again, all seat positions feature a patented roll-lock seatbelt system, which protects each belted passenger in the event of a vehicle rollover.
